How much do you blog? Last year the school filtered out Xanga, right? Do you understand why? What do you think of censorship of blogs in HS?

I think that the hole bloging thing is the best thing that happend to xanga. i just wish they did that to all the sites just like it(message boards). cause everybody is just going to find another one someone else is going to get hurt and then we have the same thing in a different pile. but i belive that E Mail acounts should be accesable.

I use to blog on a daily bases. Like from 6th grade to like freshman year me and my friend Zoe would put our daily life story into them. I loved it but after a while i got cought up in sports and my music and homework. After a while i just lost intrest. Now i usually blog once in a great while and its on a new blog i have deleted all my old ones because I never have anything to put into them. As far as xanga goes i have no idea to why it was blocked off but in my opion it think it was a good thing because some of the things people put on there are terrible they talk about one another all the time. With it unblocked teenagers could check it when ever they wanted it could cause alot of drama amongst everyone at school. I think it just makes it more simple not having it at all.

I use to blog all the time. I never really seen the big deal in it because i would only comment on my friends sites and if anyone commented mine i would just delete it and not even pay attention to the person. I think that bloging is a good way to vent a lot of the things that you have on your mind. After awhile they get boring and you normally forget about your blog anyways. I belive that they flitered out Xanga because they were so many kids talkling crap about others and then the student that was gettin crap talked about them would get all upset and complain about it. Blogs do sometimes cause a lot of drama. I think that it kind of is a good thing that they are blocked from HS because kids always are on their blogs and not doing their work plus everyone is just talkin bad about eachother and it doenst really need to be in the school.

I think Bloging is a good way to express yourself. I usta update mine everyday. but now its more of a once a month thing. i understand that its not safe to post to much info cause some stalker could be learning about you and find you. not good! i dont understand the point of blocking it at skewl. maybe it was distracting us from our learning. i dont no the real reason. dont think theres stalkers in skewl.

I really get into blogging. Blocking off xanga from the school is not going to stop anything. It will obviously prevent people from going on during school, but they can always go on at home, or the library or anywhere with a computer. It’s not going to stop people from being mean to other people and having online “fights”. But people who do that are just stupid anyway. Too afraid to confront the individual in person. So by filtering out xanga I really don’t think that’s stopping anything except for keeping it out of the school. That isn’t necessarily a bad thing though. Some people do get stupid about it and post stupid things. Whatever works for them I guess.. Even if it wasn’t blocked, I wouldn’t go on it at school.

Blogging is actually pretty cool. You can learn what everyone did or how they feeland stuff.

The whole blogging thing is pretty fun, I know alot of people who use to have xangas but since they have been blocked at the school no one really cares for them anymore & its basically something the teachers wont have to worry about when theyre students are on the computers doing there homework instead of going into blogs every now & then… also b/c alot of DRAMA happens when they are posted up & it causes alot of situations between people & then someone tells and blah blah blah..but its not going to prevent the students to find a new one then tell everyone so thats what i have to say about the Blogs

You know i never really had anything to do with blogs until the last couple months and i don’t get why they had been blocked on the computers i mean it is none of anyone elses business what you write in there unless you give them permision to read it. I don’t really know i liked using them because if i had a problem it was like the only place i felt i could let it all out or if it was something i couldn’t tell another person i would write how i felt about something and have them read it. i see how it would cause a lot of drama and stuff between people if they don’t like what you wrote but its too bad because in most cases they probably shouldn’t have read it in the first place.

i dont really see it was a big deal, xanga, i dont really think they should censor much stuff, only inappropriate stuff.
